PRACTICAL
The rest of the course is conducted with the driver behind the wheel of their vehicle. It is conducted in a safe environment under the control of licensed qualified instructors. To obtain maximum benefit for the student it is recommended that each student have their own vehicle.
The course is structured to build confidence, starting off with very easy exercises and then gradually increasing the degree of difficulty.
Exercises include :

COURSE NO. 2
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE RECOVERY COURSE
For people who wish to go off road, (eg. mining companies, Government Departments, or any one who wishes to learn 4wd recovery techniques)
One Day Course.
Start Time 8.30 am. Finish Time Approx. 4.00 pm.
Approximately 2 hour theory dealing with:

Note: Many new vehicles are equipped with anti-lock brakes, air bags, traction control and electronic stability systems. It is very important that drivers understand these concepts, and the practical workings of these units for their own safety.
PRACTICAL SESSION
Time allowed: Approximately 4 hours
This section of the course is designed to enable progressive development. Students begin with very simple driving exercises which are structured to enable the instructor to assess both the driver and vehicle. The driver develops an awareness of their ability As the day progresses, the exercises become more difficult. In addition, as the skills learnt in one exercise are developed, they are used in the next.
